Social media is the new frontier of marketing, and setting up a Facebook business page is the first step to gaining traction in that realm. With our step-by-step video, you can learn everything you need to know to establish yourself online. Don’t sweat all the technical details. Over the next few minutes we will walk you through, step-by-step, how to set up your Facebook Business page. This business page can increase your brand visibility, improve awareness and serve as a platform for connecting with your customers online.
 So first off, we’ll start by signing into your personal Facebook and clicking the drop down arrow in the top right hand corner of the page. Select “create page” in the drop down choices.
 You will be prompted to choose from a short list of page classifications. Pick the “Local Business or Place” option. You will need to fill in the basic required information about your company. This includes picking “Real Estate” as the category of choice and including your official business name and main office location. Double check your company’s phone number and main office location and make sure to keep this information consistent across the board.
 Facebook will automatically guide you through a few of the basic page sections such as the About Us section. In this section you will need to add a link to your main website along with a short description of your company. This description should be 2-3 sentences and include simple, but compelling info about your business (example provided in visual).
 There is also an opportunity to create a unique Facebook web address. We recommend using your business name so it is easy for users to search your name on Facebook and quickly find your company.
 Next step? Your profile picture. This image will display with all posts and ads, so keep that in mind when you’re choosing your photo. We recommend your company’s logo or a team photo. The best size is 180 X 180 pixels.
 The add to favorites section gives you the option to add your business page to the left hand navigation on your personal Facebook home page for easy access.
 Last step in the basic set-up? The promote your page section. We recommend holding off on creating this ad until you have fully built out your business page along with several posts with content on your timeline. So you can skip this for now and come back to it when your page is more active.
We’re almost to the finish line guys, but before you begin sharing, liking and posting, there are a few more key steps left to complete.
Number one is to add a cover photo. This can be an image from a beautiful listing, your team or your favorite neighborhood to name a few quick ideas.
Number two. Build out your About section. Under your cover photo you can click the About tab and add your business hours.
Number three. Click the add your website option in order to include your company’s website link in the about section.
Now that your page is set up, you’ve chosen your profile and cover photo and all of your most important information is out in the open for everyone to see, we’ll chat about a few additional settings that will help you manage your page.
Along the top navigation of your page, your Settings tab will allow you to change basic settings.
The notifications tab on the left hand side of the settings page of the page gives you the ability to manage how you receive alerts.
If you are not going to be the main person managing your business page, then you need to visit the Page Roles tab in order to grant other people access to the page.
So you’ve done it! Now your Facebook Business Page is ready and waiting for you to start posting content to your timeline, monitoring engagement and growing your audience.
