This video focuses on some best practices for following up with leads that have been auto-imported from a third party source. The most important thing to keep in mind when reaching out to these leads is that they have likely not registered on your BoomTown site quite yet! Make sure to encourage them to create an account so they can save favorites, create searches, and so you can better track the properties they’re viewing and actions they’re taking.
In addition to encouraging the leads to activate their account on your BoomTown site, you will also want to set them up with an eAlert. The system will not be able to do this automatically, so after talking with the lead and getting a feel for their needs, create and save an alert to be sent to them. Even if they have not activated their account, they can still view all of the photos and property info on the site.
Another important thing to keep in mind is that the leads coming in from sites like Zillow and Trulia will also be followed up with by lots of other agents who received their info. Reaching out several times, staying in front of the lead, and working to distinguish yourself, will be crucial to stay top of mind during their property search.
