Sometimes it’s not the writing that scares people. It’s figuring out where to start. To get you on the right track, steal BoomTown’s #1 content secret: Write for an audience. Before any of our writers even begin a project, they take a close look at who they are writing for. From there, they can frame which points they should tackle first. For an easy explanation, watch our video above. Or, if you want to grab some real-world examples, download our Audience Sample Sheet. With it, you can see how language changes by audience — and how it persuades more people to do business with you.

Writing doesn’t have to be a high school essay. It can actually be really simple. If you want to avoid scratching your head for ideas, try using this helpful tip: Write for an audience

I always hear agents trying to target everyone and anyone with money. But without a clear focus, you don’t build personal connections with your reader. Think about first-time homebuyers. They might have a budget and be looking for homes between $100k to $300k. Now, as an agent, I wouldn’t go to them and show them Michael Jordan’s multi-million dollar estate. I would show them homes in their price range.

The same goes for writing content. If you happen to be writing a mass email to people within a lower price range, make sure you are writing about homes fit for them. The same can be applied to baby boomer home sellers, or even medical professionals looking for neighborhoods near their hospital. By addressing their needs and tailoring your content to them, they become more likely to do business with you. If you’re ready to give it a shot check out our examples in the video description below and let us know what you think.
